The second edition of the Hougang United Matchday Programme is now available as the Cheetahs prepare for our first away fixture of the 2026/27 Singapore Premier League season against FC Jurong.
Following the launch of our first-ever Matchday Programme for the season opener against Lion City Sailors, we are pleased to continue the series for Matchday 2.
This week's edition travels with the Cheetahs to Jurong East Stadium, where Akbar Nawas' side will face FC Jurong on Friday, 18 September at 7:30pm.
Hougang head into the fixture after an encouraging 2-2 draw against reigning champions Lion City Sailors at Bishan Stadium, with Ayman Kassimi and Oakley Cannonier scoring our first two league goals of the campaign.
FC Jurong also made a strong start, recording a 4-0 victory over Young Lions to sit top of the table after the opening round of fixtures.
INSIDE EDITION TWO
The second edition features a message from Hougang United General Manager Dominic Wong under the theme “Familiar Ground, New Memories”, reflecting on his past at the former Albirex Niigata (S), the support shown at our opening fixture and looking ahead to Friday's trip to Jurong East.
Supporters can also look back on our 2-2 draw with Lion City Sailors and see the Singapore Premier League table after Matchweek 1, before turning attention towards our Matchday 2 opponents.
The Match Preview sets the scene for Friday evening, with both Hougang and FC Jurong heading into the encounter unbeaten after their opening fixtures.
Full squad lists for both clubs are included, alongside our latest fixtures and a quick look at the numbers from the beginning of the campaign.
PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: TAKAHIRO KOGA
This week's Player Spotlight features Takahiro Koga.
The Cheetahs goalkeeper returns to familiar surroundings at Jurong East, having previously represented Albirex Niigata (S), now FC Jurong, and was part of their 2022 Singapore Premier League title-winning side.
Koga also reflects on our opening performance against Lion City Sailors and his focus heading into Friday's meeting with his former club.
THE 12TH PLAYER
Our travelling Cheetahs also have their own page in this week's programme.
Under the message “Far From Home. Never Alone.”, the 12th Player section is dedicated to every Hougang supporter making the journey to Jurong East.
Different ground. Same badge. Same support.
From the first whistle to the last, let the Cheetahs hear us.
